Meet… The Kill Switch!

The Kill Switch – Stop a Fox When It Matters

Getting a fox to come to a call is one thing. Getting it to **stop in exactly the right place for a safe, confident shot** can be quite another.

That’s exactly what the **Kill Switch from Reese Outdoors** has been designed to do.

A Different Kind of Fox Caller

The Kill Switch isn’t intended to replace your usual fox calling setup. Instead, it’s a simple close-range tool designed for those final few seconds when a fox is approaching, moving across you or simply won’t stand still long enough to present the shot.

Rather than reaching into a pocket for a caller — or taking your hand away from the rifle at the worst possible moment — the Kill Switch mounts directly onto your tripod or shooting sticks, putting it exactly where you need it.

A quick press of the rubber bulb produces a sharp, high-pitched squeak.

Release it and you get a second squeak.

That sudden sound can be just enough to make an incoming fox pause and look towards you.

And sometimes, that’s all you need.

Designed to Stay on Your Shooting Setup

One of the clever things about the Kill Switch is its mounting system.

The 3D-printed saddle attaches to your tripod or quad sticks using the two supplied **non-scratch, reusable zip ties**. The caller itself is then held securely in its cradle using strong magnets.

That means you can position it somewhere that’s comfortable to operate without interfering with the way you normally shoot.

Once fitted, it’s simply there whenever you need it.

No searching through pockets.
No fumbling around in the dark.
No unnecessary movement when there’s a fox standing 80 yards away wondering what you are.

Call Without Coming Off the Rifle

For us, this is probably the biggest advantage.

Anyone who’s spent enough nights foxing will recognise the situation.

You’ve called a fox in. It’s committed. You’re on the rifle and ready — but it keeps walking.

Normally you might whistle, squeak with your lips or try to reach for another caller.

Every additional movement increases the chance of being spotted.

With the Kill Switch mounted on the sticks, you can operate the squeaker with minimal movement while remaining in your shooting position.

Squeak. Stop. Shoot.

That’s the idea behind it.

Simple Ideas Are Often the Best

There’s no battery.

There’s nothing to programme.

There’s no remote control to lose.

It’s simply a mechanical fox squeaker positioned exactly where it’s most useful.

And because the caller is magnetically attached to its cradle, it can easily be removed when required while leaving the mounting saddle fitted to your sticks.

Who Is the Kill Switch For?

We think it’ll particularly appeal to fox shooters who regularly use:

* Tripods
* Quad sticks
* Thermal scopes
* Night vision
* Electronic callers
* Longer-range manual calls

Use your normal caller to bring the fox in, then use the Kill Switch when you need that final little “Oi!”

It’s not really an alternative to the calls already in your pocket. It’s the call you use when they’ve already done their job.

The Reese Outdoors Kill Switch

At £30, the Kill Switch is a neat addition to a foxing setup and another example of Reese Outdoors looking at how people actually shoot foxes in the field rather than simply producing another variation of a traditional hand caller.

If you’ve ever watched a fox trot straight through the perfect shooting position while you’ve been desperately trying to persuade it to stop, you’ll immediately understand why the Kill Switch exists.

Sometimes you don’t need another call to bring them in.

You just need a switch to make them stop. GET YOURS HERE
